WHAT it is all about.

The Society's Seventh Institute was held August 19-21 at the New York City College of Technology (CUNY) in downtown Brooklyn.  The theme of the Institute was “The Teaching of Introductory Linguistics." There were six sessions of three hours each: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, each day a first session from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., an hour break for lunch, and a second session from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Institute was jointly sponsored by the CSLS, and the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the English department at City Tech.
